Hello Cart NOT Working

Hello,

I had a programmer try to fix the thumbnails on my shopping cart and he ruined a bunch a features and now the pictures will not load on new products, the enlarge thumbnail link will not work, and my site cannot be viewed in internet explorer.

I dont know what he did but I was completely scammed and lost valuable money and my site doest not function.

Can anyone help or know of reliable and trust worthy programmer or designers?

Don't you have any backups that you can revert your site with?

No unfortunately not, I dont know much about programming and I had someone do this for me and they didnt back up.

As often the case, posted in the wrong section - this is osC not 'Max.

Looks straightforward to fix (assuming it was poorly setup in the 1st place).
Try logging into Admin., go to Dynamic MoPics and remove /thumbs.

That would be my 1st step, to get your site running again.

You need more work done - particularly an upgrade to the latest release.

On further investigation....
Some of your images appear to be correctly displayed, whilst others aren't - like your 'programmer' gave up mid way through.

Okay.

A few things ...

1) You have posted in the wrong forum ... you are running osCMax 2.0.2 ... your post is in the osCommerce 2.2 forum ... don't worry about this I am sure a nice moderator will come along and move the thread for us.

2) There have been a couple of security updates since 2.0.2 which you should install ... don't worry if you are not a programmer - they are very easy to do.

3) Your image problem is more than likely a settings problem so should be relatively easy to fix! I can for example find all your images on your server they are just not in the directory specified in the settings.

So ...

Can you go to the Admin Section --> Configuration --> Dynamic MoPics and post back what your settings in this box say?

Until you upgrade, you'll likely have to prefix the products that have double-quotes with a For example:

"Fleur-de-lis"

or replace the double-quotes with ` (not ') - example

`Fleur-de-lis`

Only required for the title; the descriptions will be fine.

I am worried to do the upgrades as I dont want to mess up my site. And the programmer said it was complicated to upgrade and would take him a while thus costing big bucks.
