| Hello I need to somehow have a link available after purchase that will allow the customer to listen to streaming audio. I know there's a way to have a link for download but I'm not sure how to do that either. I do know how to enable the option in the admin configuration. Is the download option similar enough to the link for streaming audio that it would work? Also, how could I make the link remain available indefinitely for the customer? Thank you so much for any help!! Tina |

| tam283: It was not your posting, it was red_fraggle posting that contained spam/advertising.

| Asking the question again, before this post went WAY OFF TOPIC - 1) Where will the client/customer access the link for their virtual download after the order is processed? I can't find any link to the download in "My Account" nor was it posted in the confirmation email. BTW - I am working with PDF downloads. BTW2 - When I created the attributes and entered the download filename, I was assuming that the catalog would automatically know that the file is in the download directory. In the Filename entry box, I inputted Part1.pdf 2) Do I have to enter the "download" directory along with the filename (i.e., catalog/download/Part1.pdf ) |

| Sorry to spam previously, if you do not manually change the "status" of that order in admin/customer/orders to "delivered" status, the link will not show up in the customers order page. Please PM me for further information. red fraggle

| red_fraggle, how about just posting the further information. You still don't quite get it... If you have info to offer, post it in your response, don't ask for a PM. Is that so hard to do? I get tired of seeing 'PM me for more info', and I am betting so do many others. If you actually have more info, post it in your response, if not don't, and certainly do not post a request for a PM.

| Yep, I agree. I PM'd you immediately upon receiving the email notification. I've been standing by, waiting . . Perhaps your knowledge and solution for this "problem" would be indexed and searchable, making it available for others like me when we need the help. Anyway, the reply I sent was this: I've done it all, check permissions, order status, product attributes, reloaded the files for the Downloads Controller (just in case a file was corrupt), check the original default SQL in reference to the unreal.zip download, to make sure I had all the parameters and variables correct for my PDF files (i.e., URL, filename, etc.) I have deleted the file, reloaded it, reset the download attributes, change the order status to every possible setting available . . . . . . The strangest thing that is bugging me is the first time I set it up, ran through a real-time PayPal IPN purchase ($0.01) of my test download (a real PDF file uploaded to my "download directory"), the Checkout Success listed my Test Download, but the Expiry date was set at December 7, 1999! Same with the View Order section in My Account. Where that outdated date came from, I have no idea. I had set it for a 7 day download timeframe. So I changed the Expiry to "0" - that made the outdated Date disappear, but still no Download Button or Link to access my download. This is the first time that I haven't been able to find a solution to any obstacles I have come accross with OscMAX. I've been using for several months, for several sites. It's powerful and I tout it to all my clients. BUT THIS TIME ITS KICKIN MY BUTT! Thanks to all for your feedback. |

| Help Fraggle or Msasek! Oh geez! Its doing it again! A year later. The download link is not showing up after a completed PayPal purchase. BTW msasek, did you everget the bug worked out of the IPN module last year? I would much rather use that than just having the PayPal module automatically change the status of the order. I'll PM the username and password if you can peek at it again for me. And this time I want to donate $$$ toward the project. The catalog URL is at www.IntegratedCurricula.com/library/ |

| Hi, IPN v1.6 is included in osCMax and is also available as a download update here in the forums if you are using an older version. It fixes the issues with the old IPN module .98 that had the problems. It works 100% if set up correctly and has been extensively tested. There are a few threads related to the IPN v1.6 for max mod here too. You may want to download the latest version and test it out to see if it solves your issue.
