Default Changing MS2-MAX but not having to upload everything?

I'm working with MS2-MAX and I love it. The only problem I have now is that let's say I change 10 or 20 files to customize my MS2-MAX. What is the easiest way for me to identify which files I changed and load them up to my host through ftp. Of course there is the manual way but that'll take forever and I have to keep track of everything. I figured perhaps someone on this forum has gone through the same problem and possibly found a solution to it.
Also I can load up the whole catalog directory again but that takes for ever.

Ideally what I like is the following:

1. I back up my catalog folder before changing it.
2. I run a tool (I don't know if this tool exists and perhaps someone here knows of a tool for this) which will diff my changes with my back up and create a mirror folder of only the changed files.
3. I simply drag and drop this new folder with only the changed files into my host via IE ftp tool.

Anyone know of a better solution on how to do this? Or a tool like the one I mention above on #2?

Your help is much appreciated. If you think another forum is a better place for this dicussion please let me know where that is.

Thanks,
Saviz

Certain FTP client have this feature - others don't. Take a look at commecial FTP clients that have this feature.

The OTHER way - it to create a zip of NEW files only then FTP that up and then SSH in and unzip it over the exiting files.

Or copy only new (modified) file into a separate directory and FTP (in bulk) only these files.

i use Macromedia dreamweaver which can save files as changed to the remote folder listed for that site. this allows me to make changes and view them live as i go and if i dont like it i hit cntl-z and resave it, then its back to original....

You sychnronize your remote site to local disk, then only files in dreamweaver that you changed get uploaded since it only saves changed files.
