Adding products directly to catagory box, Easy way??

I am thinking about using osC for a small store that will only carry a few items so I will not really need to seperate them into catagories. Is there an easy way that I can just list the items themselves in the cat box?

similarly, i'd like to know how to display not only the categories but the subcategories at all times...anybody?
