| First, I have read about every post containing the word "shipping" on this board. If I overlooked the answer, please point me to it. Our primary merchandise is shipped using UPS. This module works great for us. However, we're adding a new product that weighs much less than a pound (a CD-ROM). We want to keep everything else using UPS, but for this one only we want to use a set price. If this is not possible, we want to offer free shipping just for this one item. I'm sure somebody has done this before. Please tell us what to do or where to find the answer. THANK YOU! |

| You can add a mod of shipping cost per item. Shipping rate per product http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,367 However it does not work with other shipping mods - maybe a bit of hacking you could change it from using shipping weight to add a separate SQL table for flat shipping cost for this item - if zero then use other shipping mods..... Good Luck

| Thanks, jpf. I'll see what I can do w/ adding a separate SQL table. I'll let you know if I have success! Also, others please feel free if you've already figured out a way to do this. |

| Do you have your store zip code defined? |

| Yes, if you mean postal code, as listed under admin / configuration / shipping/packaging / postal code. Is there another place that it needs to be defined? I have tried removing the UPS module and replacing it with another UP insurance module, but that did not work. It seems to be failing to recognize our store location. Help! |

| try putting in your normal address, not the store address and see if it works. If that works, then I suspect it's unable to calculate the rates from that location, or the way it's defined. Changing the address should tell you if it's an address issue. |

| Thanks Goaskmom I tried changing all my adress details to United States, with relevant postal codes and state, but it still did not accept it. It seemd that South Africa is not accepted as a shipper. I also found out that UPS does not offer any e-commerce integration in SA yet. Can this be true? Am I left then with only option of using zone rates and inputing everything manually? (this is the only shipping module that I can get to work at this point) Cheers Sean |

| Sean, you should contact UPS directly for their areas of service. Once you confirm, you will have a better idea of what type of shipping you can offer.
