Adding New Classes

Here is my problem. I have edited stylesheets to achieve most of the look I want but I can't find where to change the linked text separately from one another. Here is what I found

changes the color of ALL linked text

I did this but it won't work for me. Some linked text is on a blue background so I need white text, and some linked text is on a white background, so I need navy text. I need to do the same with some unlinked text as well. I was told that I need to do something with the classes but I have no idea where to start. I have read the documentation and if it does state there how to do this, I simply have not understood. I am quite a newbie still and was wondering if someone could slowly, step by step, walk me through this process. Or perhaps there is another way to do what I need? Have you checked the contributions section?

I was/still am a complete newbie with all this too, actually with anything outside HTML, but I slowly am getting in simply from looking at that alien writing often enough :>

Check the contributions tho. I know I saw something there to allow editing of the links within the infoboxes, and if just that would allow you what you need, it may be worth a try. Just follow the directions completely for any contribution, if you havent already used one.

Do you need, for instance, the links on the right side of the page to look different than the ones on the left?

or the middle to look different than the sides?
