Default clearing customer cart

by default, a customer's items are saved in their shopping cart when they log out. when they log back in, the items are still in their cart. how can i set it so that when they log out, their carts will be emptied? thanks in advance!

cutxpaste, That is how it is supposed to work, so if they forget to purchase something, or logout before they make a purchase, they are reminded that they wanted to purchase something. How to change that, I am not sure. I will have to look at it...

ok thanks, no worries...it's not a big deal...my store is mostly stocked with only 1 of everything so i just didn't want a customer to be confused if they returned to the shop and something that was already sold out is still in their cart...if i've got time later, i'll look into it too. thanks

ok, in that case, thats cool because they may change their minds or not have enough time to complete things at that moment, and they can come back later.
