Default Object expected error in create_account

Hello,
I am a newbie with osCommerce and php.

I am having trouble creating a new account and am hoping that someone can point out my error. (I have searched through the current and archived forum looking for an answer.)

I am receiving an "object expected" error on line 187 of Create an Account.

Code:
<form name="create_account" action="https://192.168.1.15/catalog/create_account.php?osCsid=297f646cf20f2f6d2e6b0fec2b70899f" method="post" onSubmit="return check_form(create_account);"><input type="hidden" name="action" value="process"><table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
I am using MS2-MAX with a Linux 2.4.18-14 OS and MySQL 3.23.56 DB

Server: Apache/1.3.27 (Unix) (Red-Hat/Linux) mod_python/2.7.8 Python/1.5.2 mod_ssl/2.8.12 OpenSSL/0.9.6b PHP/4.1.2 mod_perl/1.26 FrontPage/5.0.2.2510

I am wondering whether I have either a possible SSL conflict or a problem with a missing drop-down States menu on the new account page.

Thank you
Anne

I would upgrade PHP to 4.3.2, looking at your setup. I have never seen this error before.
