    Default Problem: cURL

I have a critical issue that is preventing me from using Max ver. 1.5 It appears that the realtime Fedex mod and Authorize.net Consolidated v.1.2 for AIM use cURL. Apparently my server has a problem with cURL, everytime I go to confirm an order the store locks up.

I noticed that when I confirmed an order that the curl process was launched on my server. The only way I got a successful order page was to kill the process.

I need to be able to remove the mods or disable them....thoughts ?

Any help wold be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Mike

...or you could just install the command line version of curl on your account and compile it with ssl.

The problem most likely is that your curl isnt compiled with SSL support. It is really easy to install it on your account, then just change the path to curl to reflect the command line version you installed.

I'm not 100% sure this will work, but it should... I just havent tested it.

I think my server may have the same problem. My hosting company requires users to login thru a plesk interface instead of using command line. I'm waiting to hear from them what files are in it.

How would I install the command line version of curl ? Where do I get it?
is there a contribution with the curl and install directions available?

This problem seems to be fairly common.

Debra, it is only common on hosts that don't have curl with ssl, which really is a needed component if you are using e-commerce software that sends secure data to a gateway.

Do a google search on curl and you will find the package you need to download and instructions on how to install it.

I found the path to curl, but authorize.net is still not working. Any suggestions?

The odds that your host has given you #bash access to your server via command line are slim at best. If your host will install CURL and compile it into php with SSL support great, most like they wont though

But then theres always other hosting companies that support OSC-MAX fully

I ended up getting it working by tweaking alot of authorize.net settings, rewriting some code, and hiring an OSC pro to do some coding.
