Fatal Error

Hi guys 'n gals,

I'm having a bit of trouble installing OscMax...

I have uploaded it to my web host (Linux/PHP/MySQL)
I have set the CHMOD of the 2 configure.php files to 777
I have setup a database and a username
I have attempted to install, but get this error:

FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it!

After attempting to change the .htaccess file to have register_globals as on, I started to get the 500 error.

Any ideas?

Either your server does not allow you to change this in .htaccess or you have entered it incorrectly in .htaccess. Contact your host for confirmation.
