| I've installed the latest milestone under IIS. and haven't had problems until this. on installation page 7: =============================================== Warning: fopen(c:/inetpub/wwwroot/catalog/includes/configure.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\catalog\install\templates\pages \install_7.php on line 209 Warning: fputs(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\catalog\install\templates\pages \install_7.php on line 210 Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\catalog\install\templates\pages \install_7.php on line 211 Warning: fopen(c:/inetpub/wwwroot/catalog/admin/includes/configure.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\catalog\install\templates\pages \install_7.php on line 259 Warning: fputs(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\catalog\install\templates\pages \install_7.php on line 260 Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\catalog\install\templates\pages \install_7.php on line 261 =============================================== I've been going through all the examples in the oscommerce forum, and seems like alot of people have been having this same problem. I dont recall having this problem with using older versions of OS Commerce either.. Im running this site under IIS on Windows XP. NTFS (for some reason i hear it's a problem for some based on file system?). Now i've right clicked my way to the properties of the two config files. and theres is no read only. i even went as far as to turn it on, apply, turn it off, apply. But still not good. i even used the old attrib command through the prompt and removed the archive attribute. i sent this in the other forum, no response. hoping for nicer people here. ![]() |

| ok let me see,, i think it's got something to do with windows indexing, something to do that the file is being used by some other program, just my opinion though, your problem is that the script can't write to the configure.php files and if i'm not mistaken when you right click on the file you have the read only hidden and you should have another button there that says advanced click on that and uncheck the indexing and archiving, let me know if it works |
