There are still some php sessions issues that are in the process of being resolved. Basically what happens is google gets confused and keeps hitting your pages, thousands of times. It has never happend to me, and google spiders several of my sites, but there are those that are being hammered over and over again with this. Check the oscommerce forums for more details on this issue.

this happened to me once after submitting a large froogle feed. I emailed them and they apparently throttled back their froogle verifirer bot when hitting my domain, because it hasn't happened since.

a 3 year old question with a response? umm...newbies it is foolish to disallow.a deep crawl which can last up to 24 hours...just make sure spidered sessions are not allowed in configuration and if you don't need sessions...don't use them. Search engines are competitive and some come around more than others...if you need to control... use the robot.txt method or in the meta tag area...once you contact a search engine and complain...it is hard to get them to come back
