    Default Configuration set up ?

    hello,

I have the first config page and have chosen 'Import Dbase' and taken all the defaults.

    I am not sure about..

    3. Enter Dbase Server Info

    Dbase Server ?

My winbox LAN settings are IP 192.168.245 -DHCP Server 192.168.01
I have tried these but I get can connect error.
I also have tried localhost but the same answer.

Where do I get this #.

My unit is win xp using phpdev with latest apached/php/etc.

My cat and admin dirs are in the www dir.

Username ? When I created the db in phpMyAdmin I was not asked a username.

In phpMyAd I created a db but was taken to a page and asked for table. I did not know where or what.

My db name does come up in the left side lists of dbases tho.

    Password ?

Do I just make one up now or was this supposed to assugned somewhere else?

    Dbase
Is this the name of the one I have just created.

Please help in each point. Sorry to be a burden but it really could be a little more oriented to new php/mysql people I think

    Default

Re: #3, localhost or 127.0.0.1 should work. Are you sure that you have MySQL running properly? You may want to check into that first.

Your username is probably root, is you didn't change anything. The password is empty by default. Mind you, these are not very secure settings, but they should allow you to continue on and mess around with OSC. The database name is indeed the name of the database you created in PhpMyAdmin, although it should show up on the list of databases in the browser. If not, then something else is broken and you'll have to fix that first.
