Default TAX (VAT) included then not included OSC 2.2 MS

Using the admin panel, under Locations/Taxes I have done the following:-

1. Created a ZONE called United Kingdom code GB
2. Created a TAX ZONE called United Kingdom
3. Created a TAX class called VAT
4. Created a TAX rate of 17.5% associated with tax class VAT and ZONE United kingdom.

All is well so far.

When I go to the public store to have a look at the prices, they are indeed all nicely displayed with the TAX (VAT) included. But, after I have added products to the cart and got to the "Order Confirmation page," the TAX has been removed leaving the NET price only. Which is no good as I need to charge including TAX.

"Ah," I thought. This might be because the account holder who buys the goods is not in the UK. On checking, I found that the account holder adding the products to the cart is set to country United Kingdom. So, what is the problem ?

At the end of the day, all my customers will get charged VAT wherever they are. But what is important is that the invoice shows the VAT (for busines customer purposes).

Has this issue ever been resolved because our website has started to do this as well and we are struggling to resolve the problem.

jpf,

can you please elaborate?

I am having the same problem. At first I thought it was only a minor issue in as much as it only effected customers who returned to the home page after making a purchase. However, in my (heavily modified) store:

If I set display prices with tax as true in admin, prices pre-login are ok, prices post-loging are less tax.

Please note that I am using OSMaxV2.0RC2

It would appear that I created this problem for myself by inadvertently removing the default values from the customer_groups table. Issue now resolved.

Might be worth checking if you are experiencing a similar problem.
