| In the admin when we have edited a category and click the update button the screen goes blank also the images for the products do not show up. In the error log I have these errors. I do not know what the errors mean. Maybe someone can tell me how to read them and if they are related to my admin questions. [Sat Jul 26 12:33:40 2003] [error] PHP Warning: error_log(/var/log/www/tep/page_parse_time.log): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home2/wwwnlall/public_html/admin/includes/classes/logger.php on line 49 [Sat Jul 26 12:34:14 2003] [error] PHP Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /home2/wwwnlall/public_html/admin/includes/configure.php:52) in /home2/wwwnlall/public_html/admin/includes/functions/sessions.php on line 67 I have never been into these files until I saw these errors. But I did not know where to go to try to correct them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Walter |

| One, there is a problem with a path in logger.php . I would turn off page parse time logging in the admin. There is no need for it, and it just slows down your catalog. Next, you have extra blank lines at the end of the admin/includes.configure.php file . The only way the extra lines get there is if you edit the file. So, somebody has been to this file

| Michael, Thank you for your response. I went into the public_html/admin/includes/configure.php file and did not see any blank lines at the end of the file or at least what I thought I was looking at. I decided to upload and replace this file with a file prior to the problem. I went into the admin and tried to update a product and still got the same problem of the screen going blank. Could there be a problem somewhere else? Your help, as usual, is very much appreciated. Sincerely, Walter |

| Walter, I just checked your configure.php and you had 3 blank lines after the closing php tag. I deleted them and now everything works. If you are using a text editor that doesn't show the line numbers on the left, you are asking for trouble. I suggest getting a better editor, like ultra edit, cutehtml, or one of the many others out there.

| Dear Michael, Thanks for taking care of that for me. I now understand what you are talking about. I was thinking that the blank lines were within the ?> delimiter. I appreciate your help. Walter |
