postgresql Anybody

Has anybody successfully installed using anything other than mySQL.
I have already had a play with Oscommerce using mySQL but now require to have the site live using postsql.
Any thoughts.

In it's current incarnation, OS Commerce makes use of many mysql-specific functionality. I believe that they will add support for postgres in the future. If you're going try to do that now, plan on rolling up your sleeves and doing a good bit of work. On the plus side, if you do move everything to use a nice database abstraction like adodb ( http://php.weblogs.com/ADODB ), please contribute that back. I think it will prove valuable to the community.
