Default CVC or Milestone???

Hi I wonder if anyone can tell me which is better CVC or Milestone? The reason I ask is because I am building my website on my local machine using 2.2milestone1 and I am almost ready for upload to my live site, but I just notice that CVC is install on my Site on AABox. If I upload Milestone to my AAbox site hosting CVC will this cause a problem, or do I need to upgrade to CVC first before I upload? If I do need to upgrade can anybody tell me how I can do this without losing the work that I have already done. I have downloaded CVC but I can not find any instructions on how to upgrade, or what I need to do. I did do a search but could not find any answers to my questions. Thank you for any and all help that you can offer.

You can use your MS1 version, but you will have to remove the loaded5 version, or keep separate from the version installed by AABox - that is the Loaded 5 version. It has a lot more mods added to it, but it is built differently than MS1 and the database is completely different.

If you don't want to start over, stick with your version. If you have trouble installing it, put a support ticket in at AABox's helpdesk and we will get you set up.

When we setup your account (we do this for all oscommerce clients) we install the loaded 5 version, plus we copy a zip archive of the cart to your accounts /temp directory. Download this zip file and unzip it to your computer if you want to edit the files that are already installed on your acount.

Thank Msasek, I guess I'll just start over, might as well go through the pain now than suffer through the agony later. I have one more question though can you please tell me what is the "loaded 5 version" I'm actually new to php and I haven't heard about this "loaded 5 version", and can you also please tell me how I can get to it so that I can download it? Thanks again.

judoka,

You have the correct file. The loaded 5 version has a ton of addons installed. Check out this page : http://aabox.com/oscommerce.html for details, or you can visit the development site, http://www.phesis.co.uk to learn more about it.

To download the file, just FTP to your account using any FTP client like Cute FTP or WS FTP, and go to the /temp directory. Then just double click the file and it will download.

The cpanel file manager is limited in its function. I suggest using FTP instead. Remember, if you are having trouble, the best place for support is the helpdesk : http://aabox.com/cgi-bin/helpdesk/pdesk.cgi
