My System is running Debian Linux based system with PHP4, MySQL, Apache installed.

I upload everything correctly and able to install menu at http://www.domain.com/catalog/install/install.php page

here is the error i get

" New Install

Step 1: Database Import

A test connection made to the database was NOT successful.

The error message returned is:

Can't connect to MySQL server on '192.168.0.108' (111)

Please click on the Back graphic to review your database server settings.

If you require help with your database server settings, please consult your hosting company "

my problem is that I don't know anything about MySQL.
I don't know how to creat a database under linux mode.

You can download phpMyAdmin, and install it. It will allow you to create your database in a web based environment. Makes things easy.
