No confirmation page

Hi,
I have recently installed osCommerce 2.2 Milestone 1. Everything works fine apart from one thing: when I try to open an account or place an order I go swiftly through all steps but the last one. Accepting input data does not result in showing the confirmation page (e.g. /catalog/checkout_process.php) - the browser waits some time and says:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\catalog\includes\functions\sess ions.php on line 67


The funniest thing is that the data IS actually added to the database and the order/account can be viewed through the administration tool.

Changing timeout to a greater value does not solve the problem.

I work on Windows XP with IIS 5.0, PHP 4.x and the latest mySQL version.
