Default wishlist 3.5d

Hello,

I am using the osCommerce 2.2-MS2 with the osC template.

I went ahead and installed the 3.5l final version and walked my way up to 3.5d everything works great except for this:

When you email your list to a friend, it provides a link. That link allows your friend to go to the site and view your wishlist.

The problem is if your friend wants to add the items to the cart to purchase them for you the page is redirected to the home page, my assumption was he had to create a account (creating a account did not work).

Can someone please assist with this.

Default RE: wishlist 3.5d

Hello,

Dummy learning (LOL) Please assist.

Being curious I went and exchanged the wishlist_public.php 3.5d with the wishlist_public file in 3.5c now the add to cart button works. My only question is can someone help me review these 2 files and advise what in 3.5d was changed from 3.5c that would affect the add to cart button. I would like to go back and insert the original 3.5d wishlist_public as it has some added features.

Another question? Maybe idea or suggestion.

Say I am a client of this site, I am logged in and I email my wishlist with 10 items to several friends (great job). 1 of the friends views my wishlist and purchases 2 of the 10 items requested. Then my 2nd friend comes in and visits my wishlist (but there are still 10 items listed) is there anything that can be added to this wishlist contribution that will remove the item, remove the select box or grey it out, or mark the item purchased so the next freind that comes will not purchase the same items again. I would also like to know if there is anything that can be added to inform the client that items from there wishlist have been purchased.

If you can assist me, redirect me, or give a suggestion as to what I may need to do that will be great.
I am not a coder and I can not write scripts so I really need the help

Thank you to all for the ideas, suggestions and hard work on this forum.

The list that is emailed by a guest, is sent as links and the attributes are listed on the email for the friend to purchase. That is great (they can notify there friends of what was purchased for them so they dont email the list to another friend requesting those items purchased again.)

When the friend that was emailed (the list from a logged in user) purchases an item from that current clients list

Disregard this portion. I forgot to delete it out when I posted my question.

Thank you.

Unzip both 3.5d and 3.5c packages and use a file compare tool like WINMERGE or Beyond Compare to see the differnces...
