Default can't create account (shared ssl)

Hi,

I have a fairly fresh install of oscommerce at www.rencom.co.uk/oscommerce which is running on an Apache server using a shared SSL. Having consulted the forums, I had my webhost setup a symbolic link between https (nothing installed) and http (full install) which means that you can now access the SSL site to begin creating an account. The problem now is that when you fill out your details and click continue, the form info is scrubbed and no account is created. No error message is displayed either.

Can anybody point in the direction of what I need to do?

Thanks in advance!

Brian

Could your server be dropping the session when switching from http to https? I would look there first. There are few threads related to this at forums.oscommerce.com:

Do a search on sessions there, and you will find a lot of info...

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure what was going wrong, although I suspect that it was possibly related to the store sessions as files / database option, or possibly there was a bug in oscommerce as I was not using MS1. I ended up re-installing with MS1 and setting the oscommerce to store sessions in mysql which worked straight off.
Just like Magic. Wahey!
