Default No e-mails after re-install

I deleted the catalog and all its contents then emptied my database before I installed the latest version (using "new install").

All works well except e-mails from any part of the program are not delivered. I have tried changing the e-mail settings but this makes no difference.

On the first install things were working just fine, is it possible that a second install has corrupted the sendmail settings?
If so where do I look and what can I do to put them right?

Any help would be very much appreciated

I would check that you have entered the address to information.

E-mail addressses were checked in the admin panel. Is there somewhere else that the addresses exist?

I would also check that you have actually set (in Admin) to send email and the format to use. I have had my shop set up for a while with the option off for testing, maybe that is the default I cannot remember.

I checked all the settings in the admin panel more than once.

I did loose faith a little and uninstalled everything again then went looking for another cart. I spent one full and long day looking at 89 different carts listed on e-shoppingcarts.co.uk. After all the time spent (none were actually installed and tested) I felt that the cart for me was, you guessed it... OSCommerce. I have since downloaded the latest snapshot and done another "new install". This thankfully has rectified the problem, I can only guess that there was a problem with the previous download (which I doubt as no other reports were made) or something went astray on the installation.

Anyway all is well, thanks for the support.

or maybe thats why I can't get emails to work... what version do you currently have, and which one wasn't working. I'm glad it works for you, but your solution offers me no answers... lets ALL share please.
