Default A Poll about what to secure via SSL https

Hi,

I have decided to creat this poll because of this..

If one cruises the forums and ngs, it is clear that many have very different ideas on what and what not to secure using SSL (https)

Some say the whole shop, some say from the checkout, others the full admin and so it goes.

It does nothing but cause confusion when trying to go with what the majority think is correct, or at least the way to go. Democracy I guess!

Please take the plunge and help us followers make up our minds !!

It is pointless to use SSL for the entire shop. It just slows your site way down. osCommerce is set up to handle ssl in all the sensitive areas of the shop if you have it enabled. There is no need to do any more than this or to make any more changes to this setup. It works great out of the box.

I suggest setting up the admin to use SSL as well. There is sensitive info in the Admin section, so you want to keep it secure.
