Default HTTPS SSL images missing also weird links?

Now the shared certificate works but the images do not appear, their paths are (notice the extra www in the url)
but should be
like the page link There doesn't seem to be the extra www defined anywhere in configure.php does anyone know what is putting it in there?

Also other links secure link from my secure page all have the extra www in them so I think it might be an ISP issue again.

This looks like a configure.php problem

Make sure your HTTPS SERVER is set to https://secure2.dnsvelocity.com/~catchyc

Don't put a trailing slash on the name. Also, look very closely at the images relative path setting in configure.php . This may be incorrect.

I just looked at the site, and it is most definitely a path problem. Something needs tweaking... Not sure if it a missing symlink on the server side or a problem with your configuration...

Hi,

When you say the images 'relative' path, what should that read if all images are in the default place of..

home/league/leagueandlegends-www/catalog/images ?

Is it correct that changes are made ONLY in admin/configure.php for any admin chnages, such as the ssl image problem so many of us seem to be having.

What about the header (logo etc)images when it goes into ssl such as at checkout time. ? Where are these controlled from?

Must be boring for you the same q's over and over again, but I'm sure you recall the frustration of trying things over and over again..

Thanks

OZ

I have given up for the mo' on my .htaccess/pwd problem until I get the exact path from the ISP. Now using the Authen Contrib instead.

Michael,

I have tried removing the trailing / from the secure path (then had to add it in front of
Quote:
define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/catalog/'); // absolute path required
instead.

I too think that there is a symbolic link problem on my server and have my ISP looking at it, he said that there seems to be a problem with the way they were setup (but then that was his doing not mine). Anyway I will be happy just to have all this HTTPS sorted out.

Hi there Doug.. I too am in a similar position.

Poor Michael must be going batty with this https thing. Surely there has to be something uniform that can be put into a http faq to save driving 'em all crazy!

It took the /catalog/ to get mine 99% right, but I am now looking at the default.php and header.php in case there is something there that could be pathed incorrectly. My only problem now is the logo images I have in header whilst in https.

I must admit the WS and FS paths are very confusing especially when one doesn't quite get the picture of how they work in oscommerce.

I and I guess many would like to know if you do resolve it.

Good luck anyway!

OZ

I guess that you might be closer than I since I am missing every image (and my https to https links are wrong too) all with the same extra www before /catalog/... in the middle of the path. Then again mine might just be one setting on the secure apache server with nothing to do with me and I could be fixed in a flash!!

As always I'w ever the optimist!
