Are you transfering from:

Windows to Windows
Windows to Linux
Linux to Linux
Linux to Windows?

In either case the paths need to reflect the current machine.

You need to do a few things. There are several ways to do it:

One option:
1. you need to copy the database over to the new server.
2. you need to copy over all the oscommerce files to the new server.
3. make sure that the includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php paths are correct for the new server.

Option 2
1. Do a clean install of osCommerce on the new server, using the same cvs verision of your modified cart.
2. Replace the new database with your modified database.
3. Replace the original files with your modified files, except for the /includes/configure.php and /admin/includes/configure.php

If you are still getting errors, there is something wrong with the setup on the new server.
