Good question... You may be able to get around this by making a symlink from httpsdocs to httpdocs. It is worth a try. If that doesn't work, copy all the checkout files and account files (including full directory structure) to httpsdocs.

OK, thanks!! I have no idea what a "symlink" is but I'll do some digging around to figure it out.
I have been through these shared SSL things and have found there is either a lot of misunderstanding/misinformation out there or there are many inconsistencies with shared SSL since I think the later is NOT as likely then the former would be. Now that everyone is lost I'll start.
With a shared SSL you do NOT need to copy everything (I didn't need to copy ANYTHING to get it to work correctly) all you need is to follow Michael's suggestions above (and the OSCDox guide). I noticed that Shemp has the open_basedir ... error this was caused by safe mode On in php.ini (note that you need to check this on BOTH servers normal http server and the shared SSL HTTPS server).
Anyway I hope this helps, otherwise do a search there are many many topics on HTTPS, SSL, Shared etc some with good info others less so...
