Default changing DATABASES?

In the process of learning i changed the names of the 3 databases for 3 versions of oscommerce on my server:

version bts1.4 : oscommerce + bts1.4 : database bts1.4
version standard: oscommerce standard : database : standard
version osmax : oscommerce osmax : database : osmax

After installation of the 3 versions of oscommerce i started with other names for the databases and now i chance these names of the databases ( i made 3 new databases)and removed the old ones

Oeustions: how can i connected the 3 installations of oscommerce with the 3 new databases?
Notice: it seems that i can not call anymore the install script?

So i have to (re)install it again the 3 oscommerce versions?

Also with the autoinstall via cpanel there is no coice of what database is can use ?( when there are 3 empty databases avaible)?
cpanel choose automatically a free empty database?
( to prevent that cpanel choose random one of the 3 databases you must hide some of them?)

Default RE: changing DATABASES?

if oscommerce is already installed, just change the db names in the configure.php,

otherwise, upload the database (the .sql file that comes along with the oscommerce), then upload all the files, keeping the file structure intact, and edit both the configure files yourself to reflect your server configs rather than the install script doing it for ya
