I'm not positive but check your currency cause it adjusts the price off that, well at least thats what has happened to me

You may have the "include taxes" option turned on as well. Just edit this option in application_top.php.

Find this line and make sure it is set to false:

    Code:
define('DISPLAY_PRICE_WITH_TAX', false); // Display prices with tax (true) or without tax (false)

msasek is my new best friend... This worked like a charm!
As an added note to future users with this issue the location of the file that needs editing is :
    catalog/includes/application_top.php
I add this note because there is an "application_top.php" located in the admin section too.

Also for reference, files in the /catalog dir will directly effect the catalog. Files in the /admin dir will directly effect the admin end. You can make an assumption here.

Both files do essentially the same thing, but one does it for the catalog, the other does it for the admin. If you remember this, it will make all your edits easier.

When making changes to the catalog, look in the catalog dir. When making changes to the admin, look in the admin dir. Since we were talking about the catalog, I didn't bother to specify, since the one in the admin has absolutely no direct effect on the catalog end, just the admin.

    Default After setting ('DISPLAY_PRICE_WITH_TAX', false);

    Hi,

I was needing the same information.
I set the value to false and now when I go to checkout the page is blank.
I am now having the same problem when trying to logout or log back in.
    login.php?action=process and logout.php are blank.

This same kind of thing has happened before and I found that overwriting the file (in this case application_top.php) has normally resolved the problem. Any ideas as to what is causing this?

    Thanks in advance.

Ok, so this is getting worse now.
I cannot get to the catalog at all. Main page is blank.
    What am I missing?

    Thanks in advance.

This could meant that the text editor you are using is adding blank lines to your file, or changing the formatting, or replacing tags.

Use an inert editor like UltraEdit or Notepad. See if that helps.

I use UE and have never had this problem since I started working with osCommerce.

I've got the 'tep_snapshot-20030212' and there is no reference to 'DISPLAY_PRICE_WITH_TAX' in either of the 'application_top.php' files...
I do find it inside 'tep_snapshot-20030203' so this has changed just days ago..
Dunno how to display the price included tax in Admin (it appears with tax only inside the store), thus I need to add my prices without tax...

Would be great to find out where to change this...

This has now been moved into the admin section. Much easier now. Look at the bottom of the "My Store" page. There is the option to display prices with taxes.
