Default Local Database to Server

Hi All,

I have installed osCommerce off line to make changes and I was hoping to add products to the database offline and then upload the database to a pre installed site on the web. Can anyone tell me if this is possible and where the actual database file is located on the web server.

tnx

Jen

The easiest way to add products is through easypopulate, which is pre-installed in MAX. You however are using OSC MS 2.2 and you will need to install easypopulate manually.

I would not recommend updating the database manually.

you can add products to your offline store and then using phpmyadmin or similar, do a SQL dump of your offline database and import it into mysql on your server. If your using Plesk or Cpanel online this is pretty simple. Make sure in phpmyadmin to select all tables and check the box that says "add drop table" "and complete inserts" before you do your dump....
