Double-post: Apologizes in Advance...Urgent!!! I managed to get osCommerce ver2ms2 installed on my w2k3 server that running IIS6, php4.3.4, and MySQL 5. I'm at the point where I can click either the catalog or admin tool buttons and get a blank page after clicking either of these. Chapter 5 of the manual listed on this site says to make the following changes to the configure.php file located in the catalog\includes directory: Change the following after installation: /includes/configure.php The line in the configure.php : define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/catalog/'); // absolute path required can be changed to : define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/'); // absolute path required and change these lines: define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', $DOCUMENT_ROOT); define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT . DIR_WS_CATALOG); to define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', '/home/serverusername/public_html'); define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/home/serverusername/public_html/'); Change the /admin/includes/configure.php to match this as well. The problem is that I don't see some of these files listed in my configure.php file. Instead I see the following: <?php /* $Id: configure.php,v 1.14 2003/07/09 01:15:48 hpdl Exp $ osCommerce, Open Source E-Commerce Solutions http://www.oscommerce.com Copyright (c) 2003 osCommerce Released under the GNU General Public License */ // Define the webserver and path parameters // * DIR_FS_* = Filesystem directories (local/physical) // * DIR_WS_* = Webserver directories (virtual/URL) define('HTTP_SERVER', ''); // eg, http://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers define('HTTPS_SERVER', ''); // eg, https://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers define('ENABLE_SSL', false); // secure webserver for checkout procedure? define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', ''); define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', ''); define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', ''); define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', ''); define('DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG', ''); define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', ''); define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', 'images/'); define('DIR_WS_ICONS', DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'icons/'); define('DIR_WS_INCLUDES', 'includes/'); define('DIR_WS_BOXES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'boxes/'); define('DIR_WS_FUNCTIONS', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'functions/'); define('DIR_WS_CLASSES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'classes/'); define('DIR_WS_MODULES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'modules/'); define('DIR_WS_LANGUAGES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'languages/'); define('DIR_WS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', 'pub/'); define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', dirname($HTTP_SERVER_VARS['SCRIPT_FILENAME'])); define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'download/'); define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'pub/'); // define our database connection define('DB_SERVER', 'localhost'); // eg, localhost - should not be empty for productive servers define('DB_SERVER_USERNAME', ''); define('DB_SERVER_PASSWORD', ''); define('DB_DATABASE', 'oscommerce'); define('USE_PCONNECT', 'false'); // use persistent connections? define('STORE_SESSIONS', ''); // leave empty '' for default handler or set to 'mysql' ?> So my question is what exactly should I be changing? I see define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', ''); Should I change this to reflect what's listed in the configure.php file? Or am I missing something? Any responses are appreciated.

I made the following changes to both of my config.php files: // define our webserver variables // FS = Filesystem (physical) // WS = Webserver (virtual) define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.nusolutions.biz/nuwear/catalog'); // eg, http://localhost or - https://localhost should not be NULL for productive servers define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', ''); define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', ''); define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'false'); // secure webserver for catalog module define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', 'E:\webdev\nusolutions\nuwear\catalog'); // where your pages are located on the server. if $DOCUMENT_ROOT doesnt suit you, replace with your local path. (eg, /usr/local/apache/htdocs) define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', 'E:\webdev\mysite\admin\'); define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT . DIR_WS_ADMIN); define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', 'E:\webdev\mysite\catalog\'); define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT . DIR_WS_CATALOG); define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', 'E:\webdev\mysite\catalog\images\'); define('DIR_WS_ICONS', DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'E:\webdev\mysite\catalog\catalog\icons\'); define('DIR_WS_CATALOG_IMAGES', DIR_WS_CATALOG . 'E:\webdev\mysite\catalog\catalog\images\'); define('DIR_WS_INCLUDES', 'E:\webdev\mysite\catalog\catalog\includes\'); define('DIR_WS_BOXES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'E:\webdev\mysite\catalog\catalog\boxes\'); define('DIR_WS_FUNCTIONS', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'E:\webdev\mysite\catalog\catalog\functions\'); define('DIR_WS_CLASSES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'E:\webdev\mysite\catalog\catalog\classes\'); define('DIR_WS_MODULES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'E:\webdev\mysite\catalog\catalog\modules\'); define('DIR_WS_LANGUAGES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'E:\webdev\mysite\catalog\catalog\languages\'); define('DIR_WS_CATALOG_LANGUAGES', DIR_WS_CATALOG . 'E:\webdev\mysite\catalog\catalog\includes\languag es\'); define('DIR_FS_CATALOG_LANGUAGES', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'E:\webdev\mysite\catalog\catalog\includes\languag es\'); define('DIR_FS_CATALOG_IMAGES', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'E:\webdev\mysite\catalog\catalog\images\'); define('DIR_FS_CATALOG_MODULES', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'E:\webdev\mysite\catalog\catalog\includes\modules \'); define('DIR_FS_BACKUP', DIR_FS_ADMIN . 'E:\webdev\mysite\catalog\catalog\backups\'); // define our database connection define('DB_SERVER', 'localhost'); define('DB_SERVER_USERNAME', 'anadmin'); define('DB_SERVER_PASSWORD', '*****'); define('DB_DATABASE', 'oscommerce'); define('USE_PCONNECT', 'false'); define('STORE_SESSIONS', ''); ?> I then click either the catalog or admin tool buttons and get blank pages. I open a browser and navigate to the site at http://www.my-site.com/catalog or admin and get a blank page. Is there anyone monitoring this forum or should I continue to post back and talk to myself. Again, any responses are appreciated.

It still doesn't work. I continue to get blank pages after saving these files. One of the problems I notice is that the URL is now doubled or appears in the address field twice. Typing the address in as either http://www.nusolutions.biz/nuwear/ returns an unable to connect to database server error, even though I'm using the root account. Typing http://www.nusolutions.biz/nuwear/admin/index.php returns a blank screen. This site is currently being installed as a test and will sit under one of my other websites, www.nusolutions.biz. Therefore it's to be accessed externally as http://www.nusolutions.biz/nuwear/catalog. My webroot structure is this: E:\webdev \nusolutions \nuwear\catalog This is the /includes/configure.php file: // Define the webserver and path parameters // * DIR_FS_* = Filesystem directories (local/physical) // * DIR_WS_* = Webserver directories (virtual/URL) define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.nusolutions.biz/nuwear/catalog/'); // eg, http://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers define('HTTPS_SERVER', ''); // eg, https://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers define('ENABLE_SSL', false); // secure webserver for checkout procedure? define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'http://www.nusolutions.biz/nuwear/'); define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', ''); define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '/catalog/'); define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', ''); define('DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG', '/catalog/'); define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', ''); define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', 'images/'); define('DIR_WS_ICONS', DIR_WS_IMAGES . Another question: Is there a need to use the configure.php file located in the \extras\win32 folder? thanks Any responses are appreciated
