A Few Odd Oscommerce Behaviors

Hi,

I have a few issues with oscommerce and was hoping someone could help me.

1. oscommerce will not email anything but the inqury form. My settings are:
E-Mail Transport Method sendmail
E-Mail Linefeeds LF
Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails false
Verify E-Mail Addresses Through DNS false
Send E-Mails true

2. In the new customer sign up, there is a field to imput your state, after filling out all the information an error pages asking for you to select your state from a drop down menu.
