Hi, I've just setup the v2.2 and everything looked fine, exept now I cannot reconnect to the admin-pages through 'http://mydomain/catalog/admin/default.php'. I'm wondering if this problem is due to missing/erroneous permissions on some of my folders/files and is there a reference somewhere to the permissions needed so I can do this with my FTP-client? I don't have a clue how to do this through my ISP's web-interface and I'm totally unfamiliar with PHP and MySQL. Would be great if anyone could point me in the right direction. Petter

Hi, Did you download and read the manual?

http://mydomain/catalog/admin/index.php That would be why you cannot connect. The admin is not default.php, but rather index.php!

Thnx for swift replyes, I descided to delete my filestructure and go again. From the manual I understand that both the catalog-folder and the admin-folder should reside in the same 'level' on the server - please correct me if I'm wrong. mydomain/catalog mydomain/admin rather than: mydomain/catalog/admin Petter

| Either way is fine. The example in the guide is just to get you started. After you get familiar with how things work, you can put the admin wherever you want, you just have to get the paths right!

Back again, I keep getting into trouble with the admin-login, here's what the server returns: Warning: open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/MYDOMAIN/httpdocs/admin/includes/application_top.php on line 199 Fatal error: Failed opening required 'includes/languages/.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/psa/apache/lib/php') in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/MYDOMAIN/httpdocs/admin/includes/application_top.php on line 199 I kept going really easy by the manual, setting permissions as stated, deleted the install-folder, and further on - a short break (food) and now I can't get in... Another funny thing: The store itself does open, but if I select an item to 'purcase' I get 'https://MYDOMAIN/error_docs/not_found.html' if I click the checkout-button... Nor can I create an account.. Petter

Hi again, Okay, the 5:th install seemed to turn out quite well, there are probaply still loads of stuff to do but it is 'quite' stable, although still some obvious errors as you can see here Regarding changing the php.ini, as one of the previous replies suggested, my ISP claims that this is not the problem as they have several installs of osCommerce running on the same server. ________________________________ I was referred this: http://forums.oscommerce.com/viewtop...ir+restriction and this: http://forums.oscommerce.com/viewtop...ir+restriction ________________________________ I added the norwegian language-files from the download section and I am currently (and slowly) modify them to my needs - is it a smart thing to delete all traces of the english, german and spanish files? I'd like to be on the safe side here... So to conclude this part of my install I'll be greatful for assistance on the wierd behaviour when clicking 'create account' and 'checkout', and that the page reloads with (probaply) <table width="100%"... instead of <table width="750"... as I changed following the instructions in the manual. Edited: I've been reading through the forum for a couple of hours now, trying to figure what to do: My HTTPS-folder is empty; am I supposed to upload a 'copy' of osCommerce to this folder? Thanks for all input Petter

Uploaded catalog- and admin-files to my httpsdocs-folder also, and things start to look GOOD IF this however IS the correct way; I'm puzzled that it is not included in the manual - Please comment. So I went on and created an useraccount, but I'm not able to log in as '..the Email-address or password is not found'. I probaply got my settings mixed up somewhere during configuration- could this be a 'configure.php' vs. '/tmp/-folder' issue? The install is in norwegian only and located here: www.blaast.no/catalog Petter
