I can't checkout man+cart is empty (i fiddled with cookies)

i keep getting a message that says cookie usage and tells me to turn them on, yet they are on.

i cannot check out and i have login problems and my shopping cart won't hold any thing.

i have read many of the posts here (spent 4 hours on) and i have tried to do the best i can.

i think my servers uses plesk so i have uploaded a complete mirror of my http site to the https.

ihave tried to both force cookies and not force them. i have checked the cookie paths etc. i am obviously missing something
any help would be wonderfull. i am doing this site for my brother-in-law for the experience + portfolio as I am trying to start up a business and this is my first time using php or oscommerce for that matter.

hey everyone just hold off on this i am going to try over again using max and a symbolic link to my https so that i can keep everything together in one dir
