2 problems when testing the check out using Paypal ?

Hi

I'm having 2 problems when testing the check out using Paypal through my shop.

I have a confirmation as the buyer in my email account from service@paypal.co.uk, and the admin says the order is 'processing', though my paypal account doesn't actually show it ?

Not sure why I'd have an email from Paypal about payment, but it wouldn't show in the actual account ? I didn't use Paypal to pay, just the paypal checkout to use a card.

The second problem is however most important that once I've clicked the 'Pay Now' button on the 'Review your payment' page, the next page shows

/checkout_process.php in the url bar BUT the actual page shows the following error:

Warning: mail() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/palmers/public_html/includes/classes/email.php on line 522

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/palmers/public_html/includes/classes/email.php:522) in /home/palmers/public_html/includes/functions/general.php on line 45

I'm not sure what is actually happening here, I presume the /checkout_process.php page is meant to be showing confirmation of the purchase back in the shop but frankly I'm really lost.

we literally just need this to work and the shop can be launch, hurrraayyy, but only if we can seamlessly take payment.

Any advice or help would be so very appreciated.

That is your clue. Looks as though your (shared?) hosting provider has disabled PHP mail (likely in a bid to stop spamming). Try setting up SMTP in your Admin. console.
