Not being recognised a 'returning customer'

Hi, just got OSC installed and am chugging along OK with it, my only issue is I am trying to get the program to recognise me as a 'returning customer', however when I fill out my previously stored Email address and password it doesn't recognise it and refers me to create a new account. As instructed I have created a tmp folder at: C:/tmp which I can visibly see the stored session files in, which include my previous Email addy's and passwords but this obviously isn't being found/processed by the program when I try and login in again. Has anybody else experienced this or am I missing someting obvious here. There are no error messages showing at on the pages and I'm runnning on WinXP home. Thanks Sean.
