Default A test connection made to the database was NOT successful.

    Im getting the following error.
A test connection made to the database was NOT successful.

    The error message returned is:

    Access denied for user: user@ipaddress

I know I have mysql running. I even created the database manually. But for some reason I can't connect mysql database server.
I have checked the user name and password, but still no luck
    Im running on Redhat 7.3.

I have checked the user permiissions for mysql. Allow all hosts, all permissions. I have also disabled the firewall..
    Any Ideas anyone?

well I found the problem. There was a missing ; in the php.ini file in the mysql section. I guess it just confused the heck out of things. Its strange, since I never modified that file before.

    Thanks for reading.
