Missing images

Following advice on the forum, we effectively cloned an existing site onto a new site.

The only glitch we seem to have is missing images. The image path is displayed but all we have is a red x no graphics.

I am sure it is a simple solution but are new to this so could use advise to save hours of trial and error

You did not copy your OLD site - which would have the images..... download your OLD site COMPLETELY - delete all configure.php files in the download - then UPLOAD the whole thing to your new store. Done

Thanks downloading as we speak, will delete confi.php, then will upload all to new site.

well I did what I thought you told me, deleted config.php, and loaded old site to new site..still no images?

what did I miss

You have hard coded links and/or you did not properly INSTALL in the new server. Run the INSTALL script - then "restore" your database - or edit all your configure.php files with the proper domain and with the actual server directory.
