Create an account problem

When a customer goes to sign up the type in the state and choose US for the country, enter in their password info, and then hit continue. What then happens is they get the page again with an error message telling them to select a state from the drop down menue. This means they have to select a state even though they typed it in already and reenter their password info. Now if this is required then should not the field update when the country is selected? Is there a fix for this or is there anyway that I can set the US with the states showing up as the default since I will be just selling inside the country anyway.

you can set the default country to 223 which puts it in as United States, then they can choose the state properly.
If you will not sell outside the US, then I would suggest removing all other countries from the database.

Please, please, make a BACKUP first prior to doing anything.
