FATAL ERROR question. Desperate for help!

Hello
I'm desperate for help with setting up osCommerce.
All I get is an error message:

FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it

What am I suposed to do and where shuld I do it? I have no iadea what this stands for and where to find this file.
Really hope anyone out there can help. This was supposed to be easy.... hmmm

I had the same problem, you must enabled php.in register_globals = On; if you have this in On and continue the same problem, see if you have 2 or more php.ini, you will see better in info.php in your browser.
