Problem with install

I have just made an attempt at installing OSC 2.2 MS2 and I am getting this when I have completed the install.

The configuration was successful!

When I try the Catalog button I am returned to the first install page and when I try the Administration button I get the following message.

Unable to connect to database server!

Any suggestions on fixing these problems would be greatly appriciated.
