Default after changing to FreeBSD, authorize.net module doesn't work

We just switched from RedHat to FreeBSD. Now our customers get the following error when trying to use authorize.net for their credit card transactions:
"There has been an error processing your credit card. Please try again."

Please help if you've experienced this error before. None of our credit card transactions are going through.

Compare your PHP.INI and MySQL setting on both servers.

I'm having the same problem with authorize.net but on a new installation. Can you give more detailed info on what the settings need to be?
