Default upgrade osC2.2 ms1 Japanese version to ms2

Is this possible, and relatively easy?

Thanks for your reply, but the language pack for Japanese is the TEP ver. 2.1 file... Can I use this file with version 2.2ms2?

There is a MS2 lauguage pack on the OSCOMMERCE.COM site.

No - THERE IS A MS2 version as I uploaded there MYSELF a month or two ago. DO NOT LOOK IN THE "TEP" lauguages as they will NOT work properly on any OSC 2.2 based site.

Look in the 'Contributions' THEN 'Languages' ---it is there!!!

Thank you for your response. I appreciate your efforts, truly, so please don't feel that you need to shout.
Under Contributions on the osC site, I have found 22ms1 Japanese, but since the milestone versions are not the same, I was inquiring here if they can be used together with no problems. (Please note the subject heading of this message thread.) My host only provides TEP 2.1 securely installed (unfortunately), and so I asked if those language files could be used with that version, and I understand that they cannot. I apologize for mixing my questions in the same thread.

So, if you will kindly let me know if 2.2ms1 JPN can be safely installed with 2.2ms2, I will be most grateful. And if so, I suggest that someone over there might want to change the JPN language pak version to 2.2ms2, and then this type of confusion might be avoided by others in the future.

Thank you again for your assistance.

I have attempted using ms1 files with ms2, and it creates a mess, mixing languages and dropping table data. Are there any definitive procedures to follow?
