Default I can see catalog after install but not admin

I have just ftp'd oscmax to my server and it installed great. I can go straight to the catalog but when I go the the admin section it wants an email address and password. I haven't set one up yet. It's a brand new install. What email and password do they want.
    Thanks in advance.

Read the 'readme oscmax' file included in the download of osCMax. That is why it is named readme, it wants you to read it BEFORE installing, as it has all kinds of good info included, like the default admin login and password.

Or you could have just used the search function of this forum to find about 200 posts asking the same question. Or you could have read the sticky at the top of the osCMax installation forums titled: Admin Login

Or you could have read the installation guide, which also has this information:

The good thing is that this is just osCommerce with some major feature enhancements, so pretty much all you learned with osCommerce will still apply with a few tweaks to the 'where' and the 'how'

This is not due to any major architecture change, but primarily due to all the extra features included in osCMax. But you will find it works pretty much just like osCommerce once you get familiar with all the new features.
