| I have not been able to access any menu under my admin page for 3 weeks now. Supposedly the company who installed it for me is suppose to be looking at the problem but I can't seem to get a reply from them. I can log into the admin. but then when I try to click on anything under the menu I get this: Warning: main(includes/warnings.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/rsmw1664/domains/pileofschmidtproducts.com/public_html/catalog/admin/includes/header.php on line 30 Warning: main(includes/warnings.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/rsmw1664/domains/pileofschmidtproducts.com/public_html/catalog/admin/includes/header.php on line 30 Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'includes/warnings.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/rsmw1664/domains/pileofschmidtproducts.com/public_html/catalog/admin/includes/header.php on line 30 I can not modify anything in my webstore! all I can do is log into the admin main page. Please can anyone help me, or suggest anything? My site is PileOfSchmidt Sales and my admin site is osCommerce like I said, I can log in with my admin name and password, but thats it...I can't get into anything else because that Warning message comes up. | Lisa, that is not osCommerce... that is CRE-Loaded shopping cart. If you paid for an install and it is not working, you need to contact whomever you paid to fix it. The error looks simple enough... your install is missing the file: includes/warnings.php Or the path in the configuration file is not set correctly. You should check to see if the includes/warnings.php is present. If not, go to the CRE web site, download the cart, and upload that file (warnings.php) to your server to the includes directory...

| You stated that you cannot use your admin to upload files, so I am providing an option for you that will solve the issue quickly. FTP is what grown-ups use to upload and download files from internet servers Get an FTP client here: FileZilla - The free FTP solution The you need to get your FTP login information from your host. This is usually provided in the welcome email that they send. If you don't have it, contact their support and request your 'FTP host name, username, and password' Once you get the info, create a site profile by clicking the little 'computer' button at the far top left of the toolbar of filezilla (just under the 'File' menu). This will open a box for you to create a new FTP login for filezilla to use. Enter in the information that was provided by your host into the corresponding areas in filezilla. Filezilla will save this info, so the next time you want to connect, all you need to do is select the FTP host name from a list and it will auto connect to your account.

| Michael, I don't like to hammer the competition, but if Lisa is going to operate a store, from my experience she should know that the free creloaded is NOT the type of store for a newbie who doesn't know FTP to use. The free product is buggy beyond compare. In fact, before I moved to oscMAX I had spent over a month debugging a creloaded store and was amazed that they actually had the audacity to state that the store was usable in it's free form. Lisa. Since you are just starting may I suggest that you talk to whomever you have helping you set up your store about using oscMAX as the base instead. If you are relying on an ISP, then there are many (like Michael's) that provide excellent support for beginners like yourself. Disclaimer: I get nothing for suggesting oscMAX over CRELoaded. I get nothing for suggesting AABox as a host for a beginner.

| thank you so much, both of you for your input and help. I really do appreciate your suggestion Met00. I am a beginner, and any useful information is always appreciated. Right now, I am currently working with a "grown-up" FTP, trying to re-install a few files. I also (FINALLY) got the company (that I purchased site from) to answer my emails. Hopefully they will keep their word this time, and actually look into my problem and possible fix it for me. But I am considering the oscMAX program...I can just upload that using my FTP program right? Thanks so much to both of you for taking time to offer a reply and offer your help! I do appreciate it! | Lisa, read the horror story I posted of a store move I just made (it's titled something like "learn from my mistakes"). Before you open a store, get it right. Moving a store once it has been opened is a trying task. Doing it between creloaded and oscmax is even worse. Also, find a good PHP programmer that has worked with OSC (any version, but find someone who understands your version of it, whether creloaded or oscmax). The reason for this is that while both products will do over 75% of what you need straight out of the box (I believe oscMAX does closer to 90% while cre is closer to 75% and even then the free version is buggy. The last time I dealt with it the contact_us.php was non-functional out of the box for example) you will want to change or enhance some level of functionality. It's just the way of the application. While I applaud the fact that you know enough to know what you don't know, and came here for help, osc (the base product) is NOT for the non-tech to deal with. You can learn it (if you want to learn PHP and mySQL), but if your goal is to own and operate a store, then I would suggest going to someplace like AABox that has high levels of customer support and a tech staff that will jump in to help you get the store to do what you want it to do. Again, I must standard disclaimer that I have no connections or affiliations to AABox. No matter which way you go, moving to a host that understands your primary product, or hiring a PHP developer that understands your primary product, with the knowledge you have shown here to date, I feel that either would be a better way to get your store up and functional much faster than going through the learning cycle of PHP/mySQL. Now, as for loading up osCMAX on a server. does your server allow more than 1 database? The reason I'm asking is, you already have one for the creloaded you have there, so you would need to be able to have 2, one for creloaded and one for oscmax. The next thing is, you will want to run from the root directory (rather than /catalog) and if you have cre set up to run from the root directory, then you will have to create a sub-directory and upload oscMAX to that subdirectory. Giving help at this level is hard, because I don't know what you are able to do on your server, how it is configured, etc. This is where you really need someone like Michael and the AABox crew to be able to provide you the help and support you need to get your store up and functional.

| What do I need to do in order to start completely over on my site? When I go into the FTP site, which file should I erase so that I can just put Creloaded back into it again and start fresh? |
