New at this!

I currently have a website that has oscommerce, which I can install automatically, by just inserting the necessare items.

I have uploaded oscmax, changed the config files to 777 as required, but it will not connect to my database. I've tried and tried...using other programs is not problem...so it's not that I've entered the wrong names, passwords, etc. Can anyone give me an idea as to something that I've missed in the beginning. Any help would greatly be appreciated, as I would like to see just what this program has to offer.

did you create a new database for the oscmax or are you trying to load it over the osc?
