Heeeelp im going insane, im sure this is simple

ok... im going great guns, however no matter how many things I try I cannot get rid of the dam error " Warning: The sessions directory does not exist: /tmp. Sessions will not work until this directory is created."

Yes I do have the tmp folder in my root with chmod 777

I ahev tried it in every level and even re installed the oscommerce site fully afresh, every thing is sweet, I have checked my permissions and bugger me I still have this error, rrrrrrrrgh lol

Did you set the path to that directory in osCommerce under sessions? You also have to do that...

No I havent, where do I go to do that?

Yeah thankyou, I saw that before and I have tried mapping different paths to a know good tmp folder with 777, actualy I think I created a tmp folder at every level at one stage including the sessions config, dam its frustrating, what effect will this have on my site...any idea?
