How do I display the Final Order Total?

Hi,

I need to display the total price of a customer's order on the page AFTER the credit card has been paid. So once the credit card has been charged the customer should see the normal "Thank you for your purchase" but then you'd see below on that page "Your card has been sucessfully charged $XYZ..." etc.

But how would I go about doing this?

I've searched high & low, drank many cold beers & taken plenty of Advil to dull the pain, but I just can't find anything that tells me how to display the array that I'm interested in.

are you talking about the shopping cart return page? If so, then I would love to suggest that you consider the order receipt module.

once installed it gives the customer the ability to print out a copy of their "confirmed order". The module plugs in rather easily to oscMAX.

if you want to also display the order total, that's just a matter of making a call to the database. But I find that giving them the ability to print the order for their records (and we already sent a copy via e-mail) works just fine.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I have all I need in place right now & the design matches the site theme, so I'm not sure I want to alter it too much. All I need is some php code to put the final order total on the return page I've alread got.

I know I can use some sort of DB call, or simply echo the array, but so far what I've tried doesn't work. I get crazy numbers or nothing shows at all. What I'd like to know is if ayone knows the right array & just how I'd display it. Mabe I'm no doing it right, or perhaps it's the wrong array. maybe it's an array that is cleared once the CC is charged?

Any help greatly appreciated.
