Default Shared SSL Warning- Quick & Easy Question

Quick question -

*removed*

I am currently on a shared ssl with a dedicated ip. Should I be getting this message: "The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site."

If I need to go for a real ssl then thats fine, but I was under the impression that I could use a shared without this sort of issue. Is it just setup improperly?

Thanks for all the help!

Default RE: Shared SSL Warning- Quick & Easy Question

You are using the wrong shared ssl domain. On shared ssl you cannot use your domain name, you have to use the domain name that the shared cert is for. Most likely something like:

https://secure.fluidhosting.com/username/

or

https://username.fluidhosting.com/

Check with your host for the correct url to use.

Thanks for the reply!

The url they gave me is this: https://*******.fluidhosting.com/
I should have mentioned this earlier, but didnt as it suffers from the same problem.

I sent Fluidhosting an email and am awaiting their response.

Default RE: Shared SSL Warning- Quick & Easy Question

Fluidhosting was incredibly helpful and went through it with me until they were able to tell me exactly what was causing the issue. Turns out even when using the https://*******.fluidhosting.com url it was still trying to pull all of image files and everything else from the https://www.******.com url. Using the search in your Wiki I was able to pin this down to the configure.php under https_server. Once I changed this to reflect the correct ssl server everything worked perfectly!

Thanks for help!
