Default oscommerce help

can someone please answer this question for me...

when you back up your files on oscommerce, meaning .php, images, etc., does everything get backed up or can they get lost??

No - the BACKUP is for DATABASE ONLY. The Database does control several parts of your site but can not re-create the PHP files.

You MUST keep copies of all your code/files else where. The database is the only part that you can't normally copy/backup the files directly - thus the backup tool.

You can do this with an ftp client by simply dragging your osc folders to another folder on your server (or alternately on your desktop).
