Question Is this fckeditor problem or exploer?

    Hi,

Have fckeditor which can be seen in product updater or create new product pages in Firefox but having trouble seeing it in different Internet Explorers? Is this normal?

It works in IE with Win7 and 8.0.760.16385

but not in XP with ie 8.0.6001.18702

    or

    XP with IE v7

Would this be a fckeditor problem.. maybe a newer or different version?

FCKeditor is only in v2.0.25 - so I am going to assume this is what you are using ...

IE is flakey as hell ... what is the issue ... does nothing display or is it displayed oddly? In IE try the compatibility mode and see if that fixes it.

I would recommend a switch of browsers!

    Thanks,

It just doesn't display at all in the product page on thise versions, just a space where it should be.

Yes I agree about IE, I use FF but unfortunately many of my clients use IE and a variation of versions to make it worse.

I cannot even see a Compatibility option in the 7.0 I was able to get as a previewer. Really wierd stuff.

Yes, and have done my vote -- hooray oscmax!!

The compatibility option is in IE8 (because they know it doesn't work!)

Can you turn off the Editor in admin panel and check that the plain text boxes show up? Configuration -> CK Editor (v2.5).

FCKeditor is NOT in v2.0.25. It was replaced with CKeditor in the 2.0.25 version. If you have FCK in your osCmax, you are using an obsolete version and should upgrade to using at least 2.0.25. Short of that, just replace FCKeditor with CKeditor. Pretty easy to do.

FCK is no longer developed or supported so you should no longer be using it (the same goes for pre 2.0.25 versions of osCmax).
